Offering FTP flexibility.

Many hosting providers give you FTP access, but won't allow you to create multiple accounts for friends or realatives to upload files to subdirectories.

FTPSplit functions as a proxy to allow multiple users to FTP in to a single FTP account. You can create limited accounts that only have access to certain directories, or can only read data, and not write it.

How to get started.

To begin, click "Configure". On this page you enter the FTP account information which we will be providing access to. This information is encrypted and stored on disk and is never given out to anyone for any reason.

Next, click "Continue". This is where you will enter the list of users and passwords. You can assign each user a subdirectory they are limited to, and you can selectivly turn off write access and directory creation access by clicking the checkboxes.

When you're finished, click "Save". At this point, try to to FTP in to ftpsplit.org and use the names and passwords you created. That's it, you're done. In less time than it would take your ISP to answer your phone call.
